About Us

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) is the leading professional association for individuals responsible for generating philanthropic support for a wide variety of not-for-profit, charitable organizations. Founded in 1960, the Association advances philanthropy through its more than 30,000 members in 160 chapters throughout North America. The International Headquarters is located in Alexandria, Virginia.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) East Texas Chapter was founded in January 2008. Today, chapter membership is over 65 fundraising professionals who live and work in the greater East Texas region.

The AFP East Texas Chapter is designed to foster the professional development of fundraising professionals and promotes ethical standards in the fundraising profession.

The chapter meets the fourth Tuesday of every month (excluding June, November and December) from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM, at Hollytree Country Club in Tyler, for lunch, networking and an educational program. Cost is $25 for members and $30 for guests.
